A subscriber had recently sent me a plea for help after watching a video on skinning animals in China. The video was indeed horrific, and I completely understood her emotional state after watching it. I wanted to share my response to her with all of you as many of you are like Amy in that you are a sensitive as well. I hope you take something away from Amy’s story.
Dear Amy,
I’m so sorry you had to see that. Us sensitive souls have to be very careful what we expose ourselves too, and the suffering and cruelty done to animals can literally break our hearts. Unfortunately, our trauma can literally linger for the rest of our lives, and there is little we can actually do to help them, usually. Plus, we bring that trauma and shock into our own homes, our body/mind/spirit, and our families and it affects them too in a negative way. And ultimately, unless we are empowered to help in a major way, there is little we can do because these are events that are out of our control.
Please don’t watch this. Do pray for them and do what you need to do to recover from the shock and trauma you’ve just experienced. Send the animals love, thanks and gratitude to ease their suffering. Take rescue remedy and work toward forgiveness. Find your peace and your power, and then decide what you want/feel guided to do to make a difference in the world.
If you have any difficulty finding your peace and recovering from this shock, please let me know. There is a lot I can do to help. Some people never recover and become chronically ill when they are unable to release or recover emotionally, mentally, physically or spiritually None of us can help anyone when we are in that state and carrying that level of distress, and then the cruel-hearted win and their legacy of pain continues.
