Today let’s answer another great question from an animal communication student.
Patricia asked, “When we do our group practice communications, you always instruct us to notice the animal’s aura, their energy, what color, and how big the aura is. What does it mean when we get different colors, and what does this have to do with animal communication?”
Answer: This actually breaks down into four separate questions.
- What does the animal’s aura mean?
- Why is noticing their energy important?
- What do the various colors mean?
- What does this have to do with animal communication?
First, let’s define what an “aura” actually is:
“The distinctive atmosphere or quality that seems to surround and be generated by a person, thing, or place. Or, in spiritualism and some forms of alternative medicine, … the emanation surrounding the body of a living creature and regarded as an essential part of the individual.”
For our purposes today, just know that it’s simply the energy field connected to the physical body.
If you are trained in using your subtle sight, it can easily be seen and felt. If not, just like learning how to communicate with animals, it can be learned.
So, first question: What does the aura mean?
It means we’re alive and is partially a measure of our life force energy strength.
Everyone has energy, animals included.
We are all spiritual energetic beings disguised in physical body suits.
Second question: Why is this important?
When we check the animal’s aura, we are checking their life force energy, health, and strength.
A weak aura means the animal’s spirit and probably their health is failing.
When we’re communicating with an animal, knowing THIS is a big clue as to what kind of questions we should ask them, and can change the nature of the conversation entirely.
Advanced Animal Talk Student TIP: Ask the animal to tell you what they see when they look at YOU or their person. Very interesting what you can find out!
It could even help save their life, or yours.
Keep reading and see how this all comes together.
Third question: What do the various colors mean?
Ah! Now it gets even more interesting.
Color is a FREQUENCY. You see it because it’s vibrating at a certain level, and the light (life) force energy is being refracted like a prism to various degrees.
That’s true of both physical colors and subtle, energetic, “aural” colors.
Dr Darius Dinshah made studying color spectra chrome frequencies his life’s work. He wrote the book Let There Be Light, in which he describes how he healed all kinds of illnesses by simply using the right light frequencies.
You know how UV lights are now used to disinfect surfaces and hands in hospitals and such? We have Dr Dinshah to thank for that.
We also have a UV light embedded in our air conditioning system to neutralize pathogens in the air. How cool is that?
We could be here all day talking about the extraordinary nature of color, but for today…
Let’s talk about Chakra colors which should be clear, strong, vibrant colors if they are healthy.
What’s a Chakra?
The term Chakra refers to the 7 major chakras, the 7 sub chakras within each major chakra, and all the minor energy chakra centers in the body.
Chakras control the functioning of various organs and systems. If a chakra is failing or blocked, then you know that the organ or system associated with it is failing.
So yes, they are important. (SO important that I devoted 3 Heart Wisdom Masterclasses teaching the intricacies on this topic, how to identify them, how they function, how to work with them, how to balance them, how to improve them… if you’re interested those are all in my Animal Talk Coaching & Mastery Club Masterclass Archives.)
We can use Chakras as a way to gauge the health of the individual.
If the colors are dull, muted, muddy, or the wrong color for that area of the body, you know something is very wrong and out of balance.
It can also mean their Wei Qi is weak, torn, shredded, or missing entirely.
What’s Wei Qi?
It is your shielding, the energy that emanates from your skin like your birthday energy suit. It can be felt from 1/8th of an inch from your skin, and in strong individuals up to 1 to 2 inches or more. It’s palpable.
Try this right now: Hold your hand, palm side down, about 3 inches or more over an area of your body, say your thigh.
Slowly let your hand get closer, closer to your skin but don’t actually touch your skin.
Stop the instant you can feel the energy coming off your thigh. Or when your thigh can feel the energy from your hand.
You may feel heat. You may feel tingling. It may be subtle and barely noticeable, or it may be very strong.
Bonus points if you try this with another person and let them give you feedback. (Comment below about what you discover!!)
Martial artists work with this one a lot, to strengthen it.
A weak Wei Qi can barely be felt or seen, and yes, can be missing entirely.
A strong Wei Qi field keeps the body protected behind what is virtually a force field.
I remember an astonishing story of a famous martial artist, an elderly gentleman in his 80’s, who had developed his Wei Qi field all his life. He did demonstrations inviting people to attack him and try to cut him with sharp blades.
His Wei Qi was so strong they couldn’t touch him.
Another martial artist with a strong Wei Qi field was in a terrible multi car pileup on the highway. His car was crunched from front to back, resembling a crushed soda can.
They had to use the jaws of life to cut him out of the car; nobody held any hope that he was still alive.
To their amazement, when they cut it open enough, he simply unfolded himself and stepped out, completely unharmed. Not a bruise, not a scratch, nothing broken, unfazed.
What most of us would call a miracle? That, my friend, is a strong Wei Qi!
I used Wei Qi to heal migraine headaches!
When I first started working with this years ago, I was having terrible, twice a week, several days at a time, migraine headaches.
The kind of migraine headaches where I could only sit in the dark, drooling on myself, the thought of food made me throw up, with my head hurting so badly only banging it on the wall helped alleviate the pain for a fraction of a second… yea, it sucked.
I’d been studying Tai Chi Chuan and Chi Gong with a master teacher.
One day, I felt inspired to tune into my energy field and to my astonishment, I saw that I was completely missing all my Wei Qi field from my shoulders up.
That meant that my head and neck energy field was completely gone, no protection, no coherence in my field, completely vulnerable and exposed.
Somewhere along the way, unseen forces had ripped it away.
There was also a puncture wound (energetic) in my third eye area, and a smaller similar wound at my left temple.
I clearly “saw” the holes, and they were pretty deep.
And yes, those were the areas that hurt the most… throbbing, stabbing (literally, pun intended).
So, I figured out how to:
- Restore my Wei Qi (I reactivated it, similar to switching on a light switch, and cleared what was in the way of it being strong and vibrant).
- Next, I used my Magical Healing Goo technique (like using energetic wall putty) to seal the puncture and other wounds. I know, funny name for such a powerful technique.
This is something I teach all my students how to do in my Advanced Animal Talk Mastery Course and in the Heart Wisdom Masterclasses.
I also used my Wei Qi Clone & Patch healing technique, incredibly useful, quick and easy to do (also taught in the Masterclasses).
As soon as I was done, the headache was completely gone.
Gone.
And it didn’t come back.
So…
Last question: What does this have to do with animal communication?
You can quickly check an animal’s health and well-being by taking a look at their aura once you know how.
Strong vibrant colors? Great!
Weak, muddy, or non-existent colors? Not so great.
If the energy is out of balance or weak, thin, non-existent…, ask them about it and let them tell you how it feels in that area.
- How long has it been like that?
- What happened to cause it to be that way?
- How is it connected to their physical body parts, and which specific areas is it reflecting?
- What do they need to feel better?
I’m famous for my ability to find health problems before they turn into a crisis, and this is one of the ways I do that.
For example…
Ivan, the Thoroughbred ex racehorse turned gentleman dressage horse, was off and on lame. But it was a mystery lameness because nobody could figure out what was wrong.
He told me he had a fracture in his hoof coffin bone from a bad bruising step on a rock. It hurt when he did certain things that stressed it, but not all the time.
I scanned the area (medical intuitive scanning) and found the break in his energy field.
The vet took yet another look at the hoof but couldn’t see it. They thought I was crazy.
3 months later, it got bad enough that the vet could finally find it on the x-ray, exactly where I told them it was, and Ivan finally got the rest and care he needed to recover.
Imagine that. 🙂
The physical body follows the energetic blueprint.
So, if the “aura” energy is off, the body will be too.
In a guided process, I teach my students how to simply transform the weak energy into strong, balanced, love energy.
Clearing and transforming energy can happen in 30 seconds, give or take a few.
I believe ALL animal caretakers need to know how to communicate with animals, and how to help them feel better.
Otherwise, how can you be a good animal caretaker if you can’t speak their language, hear their thoughts, know how they feel and what they need to be healthy, happy, and fulfilled?
You cannot be their best friend, advocate, and caretaker if you don’t speak their language.
And part of the language we all speak is energetic.
It’s easy to learn too, so there’s really no excuse for not doing this if you have animals in your life.
They are in your life for a reason. God’s gift on loan to you.
All animals are intelligent, sentient, feeling beings.
They feel pain and get sick and injured like we do.
Our job is to find out what they’re thinking, how they’re feeling, and to know how to communicate clearly in a t
wo-way, heart to heart, mind to mind conversation.
And their aura tells you a lot about them, things you may never have thought to ask about.
These are the complex issues that my clients and students work on.
The thought processes I’ve described in this post are the kind that I take my animal talk students through in The Heart School of Animal Communication® courses, in the BEST Online Animal Talk Coaching & Mastery Club’s Live Monthly Group Q&A Calls (for Gold and Platinum members), and the Heart Wisdom Masterclasses (find out how to access the Masterclasses HERE).
I recommend starting with the complete Beginning Core Foundations Course.
And then learn about energy, healing, and all the rest…

Your animal needs you to be able to speak their language because they have important things to tell you every day…
Thank you for loving and caring about – and talking to – animals, AND trees and plants and all living sentient beings who share our world.
Together we help make the world a better, happier, healthier place for all of us.
