CBD for Dogs? Is this for real?

Cannabidiol drugs, commonly known as CBD, are the topic of a lot of recent buzzes these days. Both humans and animals can consume Cannabidiol based products. Yes, you read that right. CBD can be used with great success for domestic animals as well as wild animals.

A common myth linked to CBD is that it has come on to the scene recently. The truth is, CBD was first approved by The Food and Drug Administration way back in 1970.

A easy way to use CBD for dogs is FOMO Bones CBD dog treats (which stands for “Fear of Missing out”). These Bones can help your dog with road trips, vet visits, plane rides because the closed spaces often make them restless, anxious, and harder to control.

They have a shape similar to bones. Most of them not only like them but also grow habitual of the treats as they are sweet. The demand for them in the last five years has doubled with good reason.

Here are 12 common myths about CBD treats for dogs that need to be busted:

CBD TREATS WILL MAKE MY DOG MORE RESTLESS

A bizarre myth is related to CBD making your dogs restless which is false.  The reality is the opposite because Cannabidiol reduces the restlessness in your furry friends. Various medical studies in the past have proved that CBD helps you to slow down the metabolism of pets and reduces the urge to be moving all the time.

CBD WILL MAKE MY DOGS MORE ANXIOUS

Often when the owners leave for work, dogs often get anxious until they come back. Many times they are found waiting at the door for hours for their owners. Cannabidiol-based treats have a proven track record in helping the dogs relax while their owners are away.

CBD WILL CURE ANY AILMENT

CBD sure has many uses, but it also has its limitations. Cannabidiol drugs can help your dogs with muscle, neural and mental injuries. Studies have confirmed the same but also shown that CBD can be ineffective for accidental injuries. The survey among various owners has reflected many instances in which CBD has made their dogs more relaxed while going through serious diseases.

CBD WILL GET MY DOG TIRED

A typical myth associated with CBD is that it might make your furry friends uneasy. It has been proven in the past that Cannabidiol drugs do not tire your dogs but ease their body which helps them relax. In recent times, vets have been prescribing CBD to help the animals ease up after a tiring day.  It often helps when dogs go through long road trips or tiring continental flights, CBD treats can be the perfect medicine to aid them.

DOGS CAN OVERDOSE FROM CBD

A common myth associated with CBD products is that they can be addictive for humans and animals. Similar to any other medicine, the consumer should take them in proper dosages per day. The recommended dosage per day is given on the label of the packaging container. It is always the best practice to consult the vet before deciding about the number of treats per day for your furry friends.

CBD WILL GET MY DOG HIGH

Some folks think that Cannabidiol CBD will make their pet high. The reality is different. CBD does not have the same effect as alcohol or smoking weed.  CBD products don’t get the consumer high. Moreover, drug tests around the country can not detect them at all.

CBD FOR DOGS AND HUMANS ARE SAME?

Cannabidiol drugs are produced differently for humans and animals. The base ingredients are the same, but the mixing ingredients vary depending on consumers. For animals, effective CBD oil is available in solid treats, drops and chews.

CBD IS HARMFUL TO DOGS

A common but total baseless myth.  Various studies has shown that CBD based products are not harmful to your furry friends. Cannabidiol drugs, if taken in the proper dosage, are helpful to the pets rather than being dangerous. Many owners vouch for the positive effects of CBD treats on their animal friends. It’s important to give them time to work.  It often takes 10-14 days for the CBD-based treats to take effect.

DOGS CAN BE ADDICTED TO CBD

Just like any other medicine in the market, if not taken in proper dosages can be addictive. Here the vets and experienced medical professionals come in handy, as they make efficient dosage plans per day for the pets.
Various states in the United States have already started making detailed dosage plans for the animals.

CANNOT BE USED FOR ANY ANIMAL OTHER THAN DOGS

Cannabidiol drugs are not only used on dogs but as well as on other domesticated animals. In many cases, they have proven to be helpful on certain wild animals too. Their efficiency may vary from animal to animal, but they have given positive results in the past. They also have enough potential to be used on other domesticated pets like cats, beavers, and many more.

CBD TREATS AND OIL ARE DIFFERENT

Cannabidiol-based products are available in various forms, which include solid treats and oil. Dogs can consume solid treats directly and oil through the dripper. CBD Oil is used to relieve muscular, neural problems in pets like Dogs. Cannabidiol Solid treat and Cannabidiol Oils have the same base ingredients, but the other ones differ.

IT WORKS INSTANTLY

A generally believed myth associated with CBD based products is that they work instantly. It’s true that many animals, humans included, feel the effects fairly quickly. However, Cannabidiol-based products may take a week or two to settle into your pet’s metabolism. The efficiency may vary, but studies have shown that it is effective. Various research studies are in process, working to reduce the time it needs to become optimally effective.

CONCLUSION

Cannabidiol drugs have become very popular. Most of these myths are common misconceptions because of limited knowledge of CBD-based products. Recent studies have shown that Cannabidiol drugs have close to no side effects on the consumers. CBD based products are gaining popularity among pet owners because of their reliability and effectiveness .
