Heart Wisdom Animal Talk Blog
Dedicated to improved health, behavior and wellness for pets and the people who love them.
My life’s purpose is to communicate with animals. A wise mentor once told me that the key to finding your passion is to look at your rants. What do you rant about? What gets you upset, what do you want to shout from the rooftops, what do you wish everyone on the planet knew? For me, my rant is the fact that animals have a voice and we need to take the time to hear them, to respect them, and to understand their unique wisdom, because they are often our best teachers and healers. It hurts my heart to know they are mistreated, misunderstood, and they even lose their lives, through no fault of their own, but simply because their humans were so blind and deaf that they didn’t take the time to listen to them, to honor their voice, their wisdom, their purpose. For instance I was able to […]
Read MoreThe Psychic Abilities of Animals You’ve likely heard stories about animals warning people about pending natural disasters like tsunamis, avalanches and earthquakes. They seem to have an ability to anticipate disasters and catastrophic events, an ability many animal communicators have known about for years. During the 2004 Thailand tsunami, Bang Keoy villagers admit to seeing a herd of buffalo along the beach about an hour before the tsunami hit the island. They recalled watching as the buffalo lifted their heads, looked towards the sea then scurried for higher land. The villagers who followed had their lives spared. During World War II, it was common for families to rely on their pet’s natural instincts for warnings of danger. The behavior of the animals sent alarms that something was going to happen before the air raid warnings were even given. Unusual animal behavior can be a warning sign Authorities in China actually […]
Read MoreHealthy living for pets starts with good nutrition Today, more than ever, we are all trying to live healthier lives nutritionally, physically, and even fiscally. Many of us, however, still seem to forget our four legged, furry friends – our pets – in this quest for healthy living! Pets are a large part of most American’s lives. Some of us actually live for our pets! They are our best friends and, at times, our only friends. Many Americans claim their pets are actual members of the family. But, aside from the occasional injury or illness or the annual trip to the vet for booster vaccinations, how often do we think about our pet’s overall health? Interestingly, because our pets cannot feed or exercise themselves, it is probably easier to control their health than our own! Let’s start with the first major contributor to better health: proper diet. Most of us […]

This month I’ll explain how to use the “Connecting Aids” with a lazy horse to put him on the bit. Next month, I’ll talk about connecting the hot Horse. Here’s a review of the connecting aids: (1) Close both calves to generate power from behind. (2) Close your outside hand in a fist to capture, contain, and recycle that power back to the hind legs. (3) Squeeze and release (vibrate) the inside rein, like squeezing water out of a sponge, to keep your horse’s neck straight. Apply the three sets of aids for approximately three seconds. To an observer, it will appear that you’re giving the aids simultaneously, but in reality the legs slightly precede […]
Read MoreSaving Bats: 2 Heartwarming Stories I love bats! Even being scared half to death by one when I was a young child didn’t deter me. One night I was fast asleep when I felt something swoop across my bed. Then I heard it’s cry, and it started flying and swooping more frantically as it realized it was trapped in my room and couldn’t get out. I held my breath as I lay flat and inched sideways until I fell out of bed. Then I quickly scrambled across the floor on my belly and managed somehow to get the door open. I ran as fast as my little legs could carry me to my parent’s room calling “Daddy! Daddy! Help me! There’s something in my room!” He came running and I’ll never forget what he did. He simply went to get the butterfly net. He calmly and carefully caught the little bat in the net, and carried […]
