Animal communication works by using your intuitive telepathic abilities to understand your pet thoughts and feelings.

That’s important because when you can communicate with animals, they will tell you how they feel, why they do what they do, and what they think.

But you have to learn how to speak their language first, which is what I teach in the Heart School of Animal Communication® .

Something I’ve noticed over the years teaching and coaching animal communication students is that some do very well with the Heart Wisdom Methods and my training process.

Some don’t do so good.

And it has nothing whatsoever to do with my training methods.

It has to do with shifting your energy and approach – and avoiding mistakes – to get better results from your animal communication practice.

One of the biggest problems I’ve discovered with beginning animal communication students is…

Let’s begin by considering how different the energies of “trying” and “deciding” are.

Whenever someone says to me, “I’m going to try your training” (or words along those lines) that’s a flashing neon red sign that they’re probably going to make a halfhearted effort and then later be upset that it (supposedly) didn’t work.

They start out with the thought, “it won’t work for me” and sure enough, they make sure that it won’t. 😉

What’s interesting is that it’s almost always people who haven’t worked with me directly who say and do this.

So, by definition, their effort is halfhearted because they haven’t even gotten my eyes on what they’re doing to make sure they’re *actually* doing the Heart Wisdom communication techniques properly.

I’ve coached students who’ve said these sorts of things, and of course I can always spot lots of reasons why they aren’t succeeding including simply not following my directions which is a pet peeve of mine.

For these students it often feels like herding cats with them going off in all sorts of bizarre directions…

They go every whichaway except the path I’m doing my best to guide them on, including often doing the exact opposite of what I told them to do! 😄

“Trying” won’t help your experience your breakthrough!

Half hearted “try” energy completely blocked them from letting me teach them why their approach isn’t working, and how to shift the energy to get better results.

It’s true, I sometimes catch myself slipping into “try” energy too. We probably all do.

For instance, with different fitness goals that I’ve worked on, and how nothing seems to happen when I’m in “try” energy.

Then when I shift into “decide” energy, results happen so quickly they make my head spin.

Because our effort and focus and results tends to follow our energy and our intention.

When I’m in “try” energy I say things in my head like, “I’m really trying to stick to my food plan but I’m seeing such slow results!”

Then when I look at the records I kept, there isn’t anything written down for 3 straight days, or I ate a lot of untrackable foods and wrote multiple question marks, or I know that I (completely on purpose) didn’t write down the treat I snuck in the other day because hey, I deserve a treat occasionally and that shouldn’t be counted, or the classic, cookie crumbles don’t have calories those are broken cookies after all, or… oh boy.

But then in the “decide” energy I’m suddenly clear, focused, and consistent.

As if by magic, I suddenly know exactly what I need to do to get results – having a set food plan and always following it no matter what, no excuses.

And Voila! There are the results! Things change the instant I shift my intent.

It’s amazing how we’ll tell ourselves that we don’t know why something’s not working or what to do to get results.

Yet when we shift the focus, commitment, and our energy, suddenly that old “can’t” story just evaporates.

I think that no matter how successful we become, there will always be times when we slip into this silly little trick that we play on ourselves.

It’s just a different (or more advanced) form of it each time.

But if we can recognize it happening, we can more easily catch ourselves and get back on track faster.
