Is My Dog Happy? Here’s How to Know Your Pet’s Happiness As a professional communicator I get a lot of questions about how pets of all kinds are feeling and what they are thinking including dogs, cats, horses, birds, rabbits, ferrets, and yes, even lizards and snakes and…). Like this great question from Rosemary: “Is my dog happy?” How can you know for sure if your dog (or cat or any other pet for that matter) is happy? You can play the guessing game, watch their body language, give them treats, good food, loving care, affection, shower them with attention… But you cannot know for sure if they’re happy until you ask them! Consider different children receiving the same kind of attention and care. Sometimes they may feel happy all the time, and sometimes they don’t, and some kids never feel happy no matter what you do. There’s something missing […]
Read MoreWhat Happened? The Exact Moment My Students Realized They Were Communicating With Animals Did you know that communicating with animals is more common – and easily doable – than most people think? Well, it is, and that’s why I decided that today’s post would be a storytime about animal talk. These are a wonderful series of true epiphany stories when my students realized that they really are able to communicate with animals. Here is Patty’s story about her first time communicating with animals: “The first time I remember receiving a message from an animal was a couple of years ago when my mare, Willow, injured one of her legs. I wasn’t expecting a response. I just was talking to her as I always did and asked her what happened to her leg. Next, I got the image of her running in the pasture and slipping in the mud, which resulted […]
Read MoreLet me tell you the story about JoJo. She’s a much loved Border Collie who suffered a terrible injury in a bizarre accident… Border Collies are a herding breed that can be very single-minded. Once they have a task in their heads, even something that seems trivial to us, they can’t be deterred. Many families purchase or adopt Border Collies and don’t anticipate their need for constant activity. They have a need to “herd”, and for mental as well as physical stimulation. When JoJo met with accidental misadventure, our animal talk and Heart Wisdom healing methods taught in The Heart School of Animal Communication®’s Animal Talk Coaching & Mastery Elite Platinum Club came to the rescue to facilitate her road to rapid recovery. It’s one thing to hear me talk about all my success stories. After all, as The Real Dr. Doolittle, I help all manner of creatures heal from […]
Read MoreIf you’re reading this, then you most likely feel it is part of your soul’s calling and purpose to be an animal communicator, either as a professional practitioner or as a hobby. Perhaps you have a very deep kinship with these beautiful, sentient, feeling beings, who are true to themselves, intelligent, and very wise. Let’s begin by asking some questions… As an animal communicator: • Do you wish you could do more for the animals? • Do you ever feel responsible for an animal in need? • Do you feel like it’s your job to fix things for both the animals and their caretaker(s)? • Do you ever feel drained, sad, or depleted after a communication session because of trying so hard to solve the problems to get the desired outcome? • Do you ever feel discouraged by the results of your sessions? If you can answer yes to any […]
Read MoreAre You Trying To Figure Out How To Help Your Horse Recover From Lameness or Injury? If you look back at the lineage of racehorses, you’ll see a distinguished bloodline. Thoroughbreds – or “hot bloods” as they’re also known – are fascinating, spirited, and intense. They arrived in America from Great Britain in the late 1700s and are a sought-after breed, known for their vibrant personality and competitive, unsinkable spirit. Because like most horses everywhere, they’re fiercely competitive and driven, and they’re also prone to injury. Horses are known for powering through those injuries, even if it means enduring pain, to the point of breakdown. Like any high-performance athlete, they push their bodies to the limit in competition, and they don’t always pump the brakes after they’ve left the racing circuit. via GIPHY Such was the case for Ivan, a retired racehorse who found his way home but became lame suddenly […]
